We made use of the stereotypical hero silhouettes to form an immediate visual cue, and then added a humorous element by transforming all their weapons into the things that the student heroes used.
Everyday Heroes is an award created by Ngee Ann Polytechnic to acknowledge students who have demonstrated exemplary kindness and compassion during the pandemic. We were commissioned to create the branding and collaterals for the award. Within the design, we wanted to both celebrate these students while encouraging others to perform acts of kindness. Thus, we combined conventional aspects of heroes with everyday objects in order to convey the message that ‘anyone can be heroes too’.
